Who We Are

About Us

Empowering People Movement’s mission is to empower, build, and ignite individuals. Since 2018, we have helped service at-risk individuals who need empowerment. Empowering People Movement includes FREE services and FREE support for youth and young adults, survivors of domestic violence, and young mothers in distress. In addition, the Empowering People Movement helps individuals gain the tools necessary to enter the workforce through housing and basic necessities to thrive in their communities. Healthy Healing Workshops are a big part of our mission. In our workshops, we focus on mental health, suicide prevention, stress management, and free continued counseling services.

2024-2025 Empowering People Movement is raising money for free mental health services via Healthy Healing Workshops (HHW). Suicide is at an all-time high for our youth due to not having the tools and resources available to help them cope with bullying, stress, and peer pressure challenges. Empowering People is conducting FREE workshops to go into underserved communities- these groups include socioeconomically disadvantaged people, those of ethnic backgrounds, minorities, women and children, and individuals with disabilities.

Working with at-risk youth in our communities is our priority. With our healthy healing workshops, we can sit down and discuss the pressures that youth and young adults are facing.

These are the five core topics addressed in each healthy healing workshop.

With Empowering People Movements housing program, our mission is to reduce the rent burden. One solution with house sharing has proven to work is room sharing and house sharing until individuals can save up to move into their own homes.

Empowering People Movements young mothers program helps connect every young woman facing an unexpected motherhood with a supportive church community in her local area. We do this through support groups.

Empowering People Movement offers resources has support groups available for survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault. In a safe setting, we explore healthy ways to cope with common challenges.

WORKSHOPS

Empowering People Movement Youth workshops are a way to help young people deal with issues related to education, work, budgeting and life management skills. After completing the training, certificates of completion are issued.

Falicia Povitch

Falicia Povitch’s remarkable journey is a testament to the power of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. Growing up in difficult circumstances with a single mother in a struggling household, Falicia experienced firsthand the challenges of poverty. However, through unwavering determination and hard work, she defied the odds and emerged as a successful entrepreneur, establishing multiple businesses and making investments in real estate using her own resources.

Having pursued studies in communications and furthering her education in health, beauty, and wellness, Falicia’s experiences living in New York exposed her to the struggles of her community. Witnessing the lack of support for many individuals in her community inspired her to establish the Empowering People Movement in 2018.

As a devoted community activist, mother, foster mother, wife, and friend, Falicia possesses a deep understanding of the hardships faced by at-risk individuals. Instead of passing judgment, her mission is to empower those who are striving to improve their lives but lack the necessary resources.

This mission holds a deeply personal significance for Falicia, as she witnessed her mother endure domestic violence and took on the responsibility of caring for her siblings. Despite these profound challenges, she has remained resilient and unwaveringly positive.
